Steve Haywood

Steve Haywood is a Partner at TA Group Holdings and CEO at NuWest Group overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and continued growth of the organization’s portfolio of specialized staffing brands. With more than 25 years of experience in recruiting, workforce management, and business development, Steve has built a career on aligning strategy, culture, and execution to drive measurable business outcomes.

Before leading NuWest, Steve began his career with Perot Systems and later spent over a decade at Microsoft as a Staffing Manager, where he developed large-scale recruiting programs and a deep understanding of workforce optimization. In 2010, he acquired NuWest and has since led the company’s expansion across nine states, growing revenues tenfold and earning repeated recognition as a Washington Best Workplace.

Steve is recognized for his strategic vision and leadership in guiding teams through growth and transformation. He has led multiple M&A initiatives and continues to build high-performing teams that thrive in fast-changing markets.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University and is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders and building people-first cultures that connect opportunity with purpose. Under his leadership, New West continues as a trusted partner in healthcare staffing, focused on customized solutions, transparency, and long-term relationships.
